Wildflower Hall, Shimla in the Himalayas, the erstwhile residence of a British Commander–in-Chief Lord Kitchener, is today an Oberoi luxury resort. The resort is at once luxurious and inviting with wood panelling, fire places and original works of art bringing to life its’ gracious past. Wildflower Hall, Shimla in the Himalayas is nestled in the midst of thick evergreen forests. The resort is located at a height of 8,250 feet in Mashobra, the splendid natural beauty of which caused the British to build their country houses here. The resort has excellent facilities for water rafting, horse-riding, and a fully equipped spa complete with a certified Yoga instructor and an Ayurvedic doctor.

The Restaurant
The Restaurant has a spacious air-conditioned area, a glass-walled conservatory and a large open-air terrace offering panoramic views over the mountains. The menu includes a varied range of Asian, Indian and continental dishes. Guests can dine overlooking the most spectacular scenery in the world.
The restaurant is open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. -
The Cavalry Bar
Reflecting its gracious past, The Cavalry Bar with its wood panelling, original artwork and crackling fireplace creates an aura of old world charm. Classic upholstery and artefacts relating to the British Cavalry regiments complement the magnificent vistas of the forests and the mountains. The Cavalry Bar offers a full range of fine wines, spirits and cigars and is just the spot for a before and after dinner drink.
The bar is open from 12:00 Noon till 11:00 PM. -

Places of InterestAnnandale: Seventeen kilometers from the hotel and best known as the Helipad, Annandale is surrounded by thick woods of Himalayan cedar and has a golf course and a temple at its edge. Kitchen Tour and Meeting-The-Chefs
Enjoy a complimentary guided Kitchen tour at a time most suitable for you. This will involve introduction to entire Kitchen Brigade and show round of the various sections in the Kitchen with special emphasis on the Indian Kitchen and Tandoor section.
A culinary demonstration of preparing and tasting one of our most popular Indian breads in the Tandoor will be a part of the show round. At the end of the visit, a chef’s cap personally signed by the Executive Chef will be presented to each of the guests as a fond remembrance of the Kitchen tour at Wildflower Hall.
Dinner at the Gazebo
Enjoy an exclusive private dinner at the Gazebo, an ornate glass-dome perched on a hillock amidst towering Cedars, a five-minute walk from the main porch.
Our Chefs creates a personal gourmet buffet while guests savour a crackling bonfire under starlight, all set to a background of melodious folk tunes played live by a flautist.
